A relatively elegant nose features aromas of mostly red berries and floral top notes along with more subtle nuances of leather and newly turned earth. The sleek, detailed and acceptably concentrated medium weight flavors are supported by attractively fine-grained tannins on the classically youthfully austere finale that delivers first-rate persistence. Patience strongly advised as this is clearly built-to-age.

60% whole bunch vinification gives the direction of the nose, very floral. This is rather delicious, has maintained some of the heart of Clos Vougeot, a hint of vegetal at the back, but an interesting take overall.
